About AJ
AJ Maud is a hairstylist with 14+ years experience He began his career in hair in the heart of Boston’s Newbury Street. After more than 5 years he joined the prestigious Mizu Salon and in June of 2013 Alexander relocated to
Los Angeles to grow his career with the LuxeLab Santa Monica team as a Senior stylist.
Alexander has worked to furthered his
own education with Some of the top names in the industry and has perfected cutting and color techniques through advanced training with L’Oréal, Bumble and
Bumble, and many others.
Alexander specializes in cutting, creative styling and was a go-to for editorial work in Boston.
In 2011, he was invited to style the Zac Posen Show at Neiman Marcus Boston, while also participating in styling for Boston Fashion Week.
He has also worked closely with Patch NYC and Project Runway alum David Chum (Selahdor).
Upon moving to LA, AJ became a regional artist with L’oreal Professional and a freelance artist with GHD. He has had the
opportunity to work multiple shows for New York Fashion Week and was a Key stylist for LA Fashion Week. He also created look
books for Gladys Tamez Millinery and other designers while also continuing to increase his high profile clientele. In August 2017
AJ moved back to the UK starting at one of London’s top Salon’s and was honored to win the London region and compete
at the Grand Finals of L’Oreal Color Trophy for the Men’s Image Award 2018. In 2019 AJ relocated to Brighton where he opened Maud Salon an Eco-Luxe salon
